I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling from Johns
Hopkins University, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor with NCE
certification. Before joining Bethesda Counseling Associates, I worked as
a counselor at the Montgomery County Commission for Women, Counseling and
Career Center. My approach is person-centered, with an emphasis on identifying
the unique strengths which will allow you to find solutions to the problems
which led you to counseling.
In that capacity, I dealt with a wide range of issues that arise in both couples and individual counseling. I have extensive experience in working with clients struggling with difficulties in the following areas:
Relationships & Dysfunctional Communication
Abuse - Verbal, Emotional, Physical
High Conflict Relationships
Difficult Family Members
Living with Bipolar Disorder
Managing Chronic Diagnosis
Transition & Loss
I understand that relationships are often the most important
part of our lives - relationships with ourselves and others in our world - and
when they are dysfunctional, it hurts. Whether it is through individual
or couples counseling, answers can be found that allow you to heal, and move
forward in your life.
